NYC's Brookfield Place is Made Over with the 'Luminaires' Installation

New York City's Brookfield Place was recently transformed by a mesmerizing light installation entitled 'Luminaires.' The installation is part of the Arts Brookfield programming that sees large-scale installations integrated into the office complex's lobby as well as its art gallery. For 'Luminaires,' Arts Brookfield worked with architect and designer David Rockwell.

The mesmerizing installation is brought to life with the help of 650 glowing lanterns, each of which are embedded with LEDs. The army of glowing lanterns is inspired by the concept of a wishing well and was conceived by the LAB at Rockwell Group.

'Luminaires' is an intriguing convergence of business and contemporary art, highlighting a unique private initiative aiming to infuse stereotypically chaotic business spaces with art that causes people to stop and experience it.
