Retro Replica Desk Lamps

Louis Poulsen's Lamps are Inspired by the Iconic Panthella Lamp

The Panthella lamp was first released by designer Verner Panton in 1971, but its iconic style has endured enough for Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen to release a miniaturized version.

While Panton's original Panthella was a floor lamp that came in white with an acrylic shade, the new lamps from Louis Poulsen are desk lamps with metal shades that come in ten bright candy colors. Nonetheless, the unique, toadstool shape of the lamp is retained. And though the colors are a new twist, they are not completely random. Louis Poulsen picked the colors as an homage to the late Panton's final exhibition, entitled 'Light and Colour.'

The colorful mini Panthella lamps can both literally and figuratively light up any room.
