Chris Collaris Architects Designs the Lime Wash House

Dutch design studio Chris Collaris Architects creates the new Lime Wash House located in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. The house is defined by lime-washed bricks, which is referenced in its namesake along with an overhanging oversized black roof.

It is home to a family who was looking for an intimate connection to the beautiful suburban space that surrounds them. The house has large gable end walls that are complete with tumbled bricks with the aforementioned roof that exaggerates the home's silhouette. Founder of the studio Chris Collaris speaks about the design to Dezeen, stating that "Together with the big roof extensions [and] minimal detailing, the house looks familiar yet strangely familiar. You understand the clear form, yet the volume is more fierce."
