Bangkok-based studio All(zone) created the 'Light House Project,' a series of small temporary housing units. The homes can be easily erected in any location such as abandoned buildings or vacant lots.
The humble abodes measure 12 square meters in size and are comprised of plastic-laminated plywood. Additionally, their "frame consists of a polyethylene-coated metal grid, which also serves as shelving inside the structures." The interior of each home contains a living room, a changing room and a small closet. The bedroom boasts a small bed, covered with a mosquito net that is made of polyester fabric.
The Light House Project is being featured in the Chicago Architecture Biennial, which began on October 3rd and will run until January 3rd 2016. As popularity in micro dwelling surges -- a result of urban expansion -- these quaint units will appeal to travelers or can double as a convenient and temporary homeless shelter.
