The 'L’arbrisseau' Neighborhood Centre is one-of-a-kind, as it brings together a close knit community in the French city of Lille. Designed by Colboc Franzen and Associates, the center takes into account several needs of the community.
The center accommodates a library, an aquarium and most importantly, a tree. The reason a tree was accommodated into the design was because "arbre" is French word for tree. Hence, a 12-meter tree stands high as part of this community center and is the life of the area.
The ground floor is used as a child’s care area, the first floor for kid’s recreation and the second floor incorporates adult areas. The L’arbrisseau Neighborhood Centre certainly binds the local people with amazing architecture.
