Ample green space in cities is a must, but many members of the public require some built objects in order to properly interact with parks. Koppla Modular Platforms fill this necessity quite convincingly, affording pedestrians a place to sit, socialize and connect with nature.
Ana Velez Botero worked closely with fellow designers Juan David Buitrago and Manuela Marquez to develop what is also an aesthetically pleasing sculptural arrangement. The project consists of a cluster of raised metal discs that form delightful niche gardens where their circumferences intersect. Three-dimensional renderings by Juan David Buitrago reveal the artistic details imposed on the engraved surfaces of the rings, which serve both as benches and planters in the Koppla Modular Platforms project.
