Festive Cake-Infused Beers

The Chandeluer Island Brewing Co. is Making a Mardi Gras King Cake Beer

King cake beer is a new creation from Chandeluer Island Brewing Co. for Mardi Gras, which is made with one large king cake per keg of beer—or about 1.5 pounds of cake for every gallon of beer. King Cake is beloved for its cinnamon flavor and bright colors and the brewery’s take on the treat as a beer is set to perfectly capture its essence in beverage format.

After the success of its Oreo stout, the Chandeluer Island Brewing Co.’s brewmaster joked about creating a king cake beer. The latest update from the brewery notes that "The last batch of King Cake wasn’t ‘King Cakey’ enough so we picked up another cake from Le Bakery and we’re adding it to the tank."

The king cake beer is set to be served on nitro so that it remains ultra-creamy.
