Foliage-Covered Offices

JW Associates Develops a Forward-Thinking Office Design in Shanghai

JW Associates recently worked on an office design in Shanghai, and made the interior space into a forest-resembling area. The interior was done this way to try and encourage a sense of calmness while working, and try to accommodate various people's working styles.

The middle desk was done in a continuous central island manner, which flows throughout the office. Foliage was also placed within this center desk, adding an environmental touch to the interior. Many times offices can be quite stark, and people feel as if they are cut off from the outside world. With this design by JW Associates, workers should feel more connected to nature, even though they are inside a building for most of the day doing work. Photo Credits: designboom, lo-tan
