Kilometer-Tall Buildings

The Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia Will Be One Kilometer Tall

Jeddah Tower is a skyscraper, located in the Saudi city of Jeddah, that is set to become the tallest building in the world.

Rising 1,007 meters above Jeddah to be exact, this building will be the first member of the kilometer-high club. The building will be over three times the height of the Eiffel Tower and will be nearly 200 meters taller than the world's current tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

This tower would require 59 elevators and would offer 5.7 million square feet of floorspace. It would contain a mix of residential, office and recreational space.

The Jeddah Tower is a statement of power and ambition from Saudi Arabia, and bids to take skyscrapers to the next level quite literally.
