The Jean-Paul Bourdier 'Bodyscapes' Collection Melds Land and Body

The Jean Paul Bourdier 'Bodyscapes' collection centers in on having models meld into the natural background.

To achieve this look, the photographer paints the naked flesh the exact color as the landscape that it will be set against. The result is an uninterrupted nature view where humans are nothing more than small disturbances. Alternatively, in some cases, Bourdier uses the body's angles and shape to set it intentionally apart from the landscape. The background is perturbed in these instances by brightly colored models who pose with arms outstretched. In both cases, Bourdier aims to show that there is an innate physical and rhythmic relationship that humans have with the Earth.

The work is created without the help of digital editing or manipulation and is available through a Kickstarter campaign. Bourdier hopes to start a photo book titled 'Leap into the Blue,' containing shots of a similar theme.
