Jaemee Studio has completed a unique interactive design in East Haddam, Connecticut. Titled the Lily Project, this unique design invites park visitors to interact with nature by laying and sitting on large-sized lily pads made of insulation foams.
During Jaemee Studio's artist residency at the I-Park Foundation, they designed 13 lily pads that all float in a pond. The lily pads all vary in diameter - between 30 cm and up to two meters - which emulates the similar variation of scale found in real lily pads. Visitors are invited to enjoy nature through the design while equally immersing themselves in a live art experience.
