Futuristic Pedagogical Playgrounds

Mobiversum by J. Mayer H. Architects Encourages Movement

J. Mayer H. Architects has worked in collaboration with professor Renate Zimmer to construct a futuristic playground. The design was formed with the aim of teaching children about particular things, those being "people, cars, and what moves them," according to DesignBoom.

The look of the playground is very futuristic, with curved surfaces and certain areas that appear to be inspired by the roots of trees. Indeed, certain parts of the design are based on green elements such as the forest. The designers and contributors hope that this playground will provide a more interactive platform than most playgrounds built today. More specifically they hope that it will encourage more mobility, instead of having young kids stagnant for long periods of time. In an age where sitting and computers dominate daily life, this design by J. Mayer H. Architects is a step in the right direction. Photo Credits: designboom, jmayerh.de
