Sparse Industrial Workspaces

This Industrial Office Takes Advantage of its Location

i29 Interior Architects partnered with VMX Architects to design the industrial office for MediaXplain, a media agency based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The industrial aesthetic was not chosen at random; rather, it relates to the history of the area. The raw concrete walls and open floor plan of the office were accompanied by rough oak wood, a concrete carpet, grey ceilings, black surfaces and an industrial staircase that ties the look together. An open facade featuring angular glass panels offers employees unobstructed views of the old Port of Amsterdam, completing the bold, uncompromising vision.

Employees sit at large oak desks which overlook the port. Meanwhile, a private segment consisting of offices, meeting rooms and a pantry is located at the rear.
