The fragmented glass structure is a recently built extension to Necker Hospital, the oldest specialized pediatric clinic in the world that is dedicated to research and treatment of genetic diseases.
"Conforming to the regulations stipulated in the 19th century by Baron Hausmann, this structure mixes its existing shell with sharp crystalline edges and an all-glass facade that is a contemporary presence within its surrounding neighbourhood."
