Montreal-based studio Baboon Création designed a series of horror movie GIFs in anticipation for the spooky festivities at the end of the month. The project called '31 Horror Days' will release one quirky animated GIF per day until Halloween.
The horror movie GIFs feature iconic scary movie villains such as Chucky, Freddy Krueger and The Grady Twins from The Shining. All of the characters have been transformed into cartoons. By softening the characteristics of each murderous villain, it makes the GIFs more appealing.
Each character is happily jaunting around the screen carrying a bloody blade or skipping around as if they lead the most normal lives. The red-haired baby Chucky is casually tossing his knife in the air as he struts across the screen. These quirky GIFs present the terrifying characters as cute and almost pleasant, dispute their murderous tendencies.
