This Artist Shows Homeless People in Colorful & Natural Light

Artist and photographer Aaron Draper created a photography series of homeless people portraits in natural light and colors instead of the traditional black and white morose images.

Aaron Draper conducted a series of photo shoots where he brought his portable studio to the streets and photographed the homeless people portraits. With the help of bright lights and reflective props, Draper was able to focus on the real identities of the homeless individuals. The images are printed in full color with the subjects looking directly into the camera lens with strength and integrity despite their societal status.

The idea for this project called 'Underexposed' was aroused from literature produced by John Steinbeck. Through written words, Steinbeck attempted to shed light on the problems of the poor, and in turn, Draper is conveying the same message through a visual display.
