Holyrood Distillery Has Launched 'Height of Arrows' Gin

Edinburgh-based spirit maker Holyrood Distillery has announced the launch of 'Height of Arrows,' a new barebones gin spirit said to be evocative of the whiskey experience.

When making 'Height of Arrows,' Holyrood decided to reject the typical process of adding botanicals to produce flavor. Instead, they crafted this one-of-a-kind gin using the methods and sensibilities of whiskey-making, leveraging few ingredients to produce sophisticated flavor profiles.

"We have made a gin that is distilled from our DNA as whisky makers," said Nick Ravenhall, managing director of Holyrood Distillery, which is why the spirit relies on just three key ingredients: beeswax, juniper, and salt. In terms of taste, this whiskey-inspired gin is said to present a fresh pine flavor with a subtle citrus zest, and a smooth, dry finish with spicy notes.
