'Karipids' Uses Imagery to Connect Wine with the Historical Roots

Karipids teamed up with Lumionus Design Group to give its label a simple connection between today's taste and the historical roots. The overall appearance of the wine bottle is tall and dark-colored with a bare neck and a white label around the body. The labels are adorned with the winery name, the type of wine and the region it is from. Each label differentiates between each other based on the use of different figures outlined in gold.

The figures mimic rare coins from the ancient city of Krannonas which is where the Karipids winery resides. The names of each wine reveal a connection to the coin-inspired image on the label.

The wide variety of wine produced by Karipids winery meant that a generic label and logo would not convey the right message. The designer used the same style of logo and typography to keep the wines relevant to each other while sharing a different story unique to each wine and the historical roots.
