Sam Crawford Architects Designs the Hidden Garden House

Australian design studio Sam Crawford Architects creates a newly renovated Hidden Garden House feature in the form of a private roof terrace. It is closed off by natural green accents and the purpose of this new project is to bring more lightness to the dark interior. The entrance of the home starts with new looks including a stair with open treads for a more in-depth feel.

Director of the studio, Sam Crawford speaks to Dezeen about the extension and its purpose, stating "By extending the ground floor finishes through the full-width doors into the rear yard, the garden and high-level green trellises at the rear of the site form the fourth wall to the rear wing. They create a sense of enclosure that draws the occupant's eye up to the expanse of the sky rather than surrounding suburbia."
