Josh Hadar's Eco-friendly Steel Trees and Bikes Merge Art & Eco

What do you get when you mix environmentalism, transportation and art? You get Josh Hadar’s Hadar Metal Design, a one-of-a-kind eco-friendly group that creates wild customized bikes and environmental installations.

Hadar, a self-taught artist, learned how to craft steel without the use of heat and electric equipment, but rather by shaping metal around lampposts, trashcans or trees. Additionally, glass and leather are both detailed by hand, giving his product a special personalized touch that has attracted a diverse and vibrant global fanbase made up of environmental scientists, engineers, fine artists and social activists, among others.

Hadar’s solar power steel trees are already a massive hit in the eco-community. His newest creation, the Intercon Grove, was made with over 5,000 individually cut and welded parts of industrial carbon. The installation is displayed at the newly constructed Intercontinental Hotel in Times Square. Hadar Metal Design is holding its first showcase of all of his works, including his bicycles and steel tree installations, from May 6th to 27th in New York City.
