Having spent time this year in South Sudan, Freccia shares with us an unusually candid guerrilla photo series that portrays the men in Riek Machar's White Army -- "a collection of untrained and loosely coordinated fighting units composed of civilians from the Nuer ethnic group, totaling in the tens of thousands," says Freccia.
What i found fascinating about this series is the fact that these men took the time -- in-between arming themselves, shooting and looting -- to pose for a portrait.
