Sculptural Communal Offices

Gray Puksand Designed this Futuristic Office for ZImmer

Architect and interior design studio Gray Puksand designed an office for Zimmer's Australian head office.

The clients were in the process of making a major change, relocating from an office that they'd occupied for over a decade. They wished to create an open-concept space that encouraged communication between departments. The architects responded to this wish by scattering collaborative spaces throughout the office. Each of the floors (the office is comprised of two work floors and a single warehouse level) features a central break area with a comfortable ambiance. The floors are connected by a central, internal staircase, furthering the sense of communication.

The office connects by way of "curving junctions and undulating forms" which act as an "homage to the products that Zimmer creates." Sculptural, vaguely futuristic forms are displayed throughout the office as art.
