Goldgenie's 24 Karat Bicycle Costs $390,000

British company Goldgenie has been adding the Midas touch to a wide variety objects for years now, including, in recent times, iPhones and iPads. However, they're now turning their attentions to bicycles.

Goldgenie's Men's Racing Bike is a 24 karat gold bicycle that consists of what is probably a Giant Defy 3 aluminum framed road bike covered in gold plating. Everything from the handlebars to the spokes, derailleur, chain and gear clusters are gold-played.

If you're the type of person who fancies a ride-about on a gold-plated bicycle, be prepared to shell out a cool $391,017.

There doesn't appear to be anything particularly special about the bike aside from the fact that it's plated in gold. Riding this one through your local bike trail would make quite a statement indeed.
