Nike Gives the Air Max 96 II a Goldenrod Colorway Update

Nike introduces a new tonal iteration of the Air Max 96 II sneaker model in a Goldenrod colorway. This update celebrates the 25th anniversary of the palette. This was one of the most recognizable colorways to detail the silhouette and appeared once again in 2016, when it was entitled the Air Max 96 XX, which featured an altered midsole tooling system.

This time around, the upper has a base layer made from a ridged dark navy blue mesh material. It is then detailed with white leather materials overlaying on top for some depth with a tiled L shape as well. The large Goldenrod color travels from the back of the mudguard on a racing stripe and crosses by the rubberized midfoot Swoosh accent towards the rest of the heel.
