Hexagonal Office Buildings

This Building Has a Unique Geometric Architecture Design

This unique piece of geometric architecture in La Nucia, Spain, is covered in thousands of green hexagons in a repetitive three shade pattern. Prior to it being covered in tile, the building was a bare concrete structure with little visual interest. Its unique shape however also adds to the new-found green aesthetic of this once grayscaled building. The hexagon theme spills over to the design of the courtyard and tile. The hexagon-shaped tiles only work to complement the geometric shape of the building.

The once dark concrete structure is now vibrant and bright, which mirrors the green space that surrounds it. For an administrative space, the structure is quite small and is shaped in an odd manner. Rather than trying to conceal its odd architectural details, designers opted to highlight it with green hexagon tiles and a geometric yard.
