Many kids grow up without access to financial literacy, but Turkish financial services company Garanti BBVA is countering later-in-life unpreparedness and poor money habits by opening its doors for student branch visits. To demystify everything from saving and budgeting to money management from an early age, Garanti BBVA invites teachers and students in grades three through eight, affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, to apply to participate in the program.
During their visit, students can expect to get first-hand experience of how a bank branch works, expand their knowledge through interactive activities, pick up practical tips, and learn about banking professions. Money and banks are sometimes regarded as adult-only, and Garanti BBVA challenges this notion with a welcoming, age-appropriate experience designed to foster comfort, confidence and empower lifelong financial literacy in Gen Alpha.
