FundTunes Works With Universal Music Canada to Support Nonprofits

One of the most challenging parts of running a charity or non-profit organization is raising funds, especially when the donations aren’t tax deductible. To offer an innovative (and fun solution) to the problem, Universal Music Canada launched a fundraising platform called FunTunes, which sells digital music to help raise money for causes. As an added benefit, because everything is based online, the program is gentle on the environment too.

FunTunes is based in Toronto and donates half the net profits from each 3-song bundle—which costs $3.87—to a charity of the customer’s choice. Among the diverse causes that customers can choose from are organizations like Future Possibilities for Kids, The World Society for the Protection of Animals, The National Post’s Raise a Reader, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto, MADD and the Canadian Cancer Society.
