In January, an exhibition with fruit and vegetable art is opening at the Whitney Museum of American Art called Fruits, Vegetables; Fruit and Vegetable Salad that presents pieces of fruits on pedestals. Once ripe, the fruits and vegetables will be appropriately prepared by museum staff and turned into a salad for visitors to enjoy. The installation is then replenished with new pieces of produce and the edible art experience is recreated.

The piece valued at $120,000 called Comedian consisted of a real banana duct-taped to a wall.
