Mid-air collisions of tinted and clear water create these fantastic stop-motion photos by Japanese artist Shinichi Maruyama. The photographer launches water, some of which has been dyed black with ink, into the air using various methods allowing for the aerial art show.
This collection titled 'KUSHO' has recently been exhibited at the Bruce Silverstein Gallery in New York, where Maruyama now calls home.
Implications - An incredibly fast camera must have been used to take these brilliant shots. When the water is thrown into the air. it makes some incredible shapes such as full circles and even body-shaped patterns. The portraits that use both black and clear water look simply stunning.
