Curvaceous Cantilevered Furniture

The Form Follows Function Table is Sculptural

The Form Follows Function Table is a sculptural piece of furniture. The perfect sequel to the original Form Follows Function Sofa, it has more of a natural aesthetic than the futuristic one the steel sofa exhibited. This has as much to do with the wooden materials used as it does with its curvaceous form, which is somewhat reminiscent of the forms found in the Grand Canyon.

Created by Dutch designer Daan Mulder, the Form Follows Function Table comes without any loose parts. Finished with an oak veneer, the table is then painted in an ultra matt lacquer. By laminating multiple layers of wood, the top of the table is both light and strong. It is perfect for both traditional and modern homes, especially those with an affinity for art.
