Indian design firm Studio Hinge presents a look at its new and completed Forest of Knowledge library. It is located in Mumbai and is made to look like a tree-inspired canopy detailed with unique and intricate latticed wood. This replicates the tranquil feeling of sitting in a forest and reading a book under the tree.
The space was originally designed for the Cricket Club of India, which is a member's club that dates back to the 30s and is found inside an Art Deco building. The studio explains, "On a conceptual level, the design draws from nature, in particular the notion of sitting under a tree with a book, and also borrows from the beautiful canopy formed by the ficus and gulmohar trees to be found in the adjacent street."
