Foodzy Uses Social Media to Award Badges for Dining Healthy

Although there are many new fads of the moment, two of them stick out the most (perhaps because they are directly linked with society's current lifestyle) and that happens to be health and social media; Foodzy has decided to combine the two in order to promote both for the betterment of people's lives. Essentially, Foodzy is a social network that awards badges for healthy eating.

An Amsterdam-based start-up, Foodzy has just announced its international launch. By providing incentives through the accumulation of badges (for instance, eating five types of tropical fruit will get you the Coco Jambo badge), Foodzy will encourage healthier eating habits. Users can also keep track of what and how much they eat through Foodzy. Foodzy even allows them to compete against friends.
