'La Burger Week' is a Quest to Find the Best Burger in Canada

Le Burger Week began as a way to find the best burger in Montreal, but with so many cities across Canada claiming that they too should be in the running, the contest has expanded this year into a multi-city quest to find the best burger.

In addition to some of Montreal's best burger joints, over 150 different restaurants from Toronto, Ottawa and Gatineau are also participating. Le Burger Week kicks off on September 1st and will last seven days, where people can go online and vote for their favorites. As well as satisfying hungry burger-lovers and perhaps answering the question of who serves up the best burger, Le Burger Week also has a charitable component too, since entire business model has been handed over to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This way, rather than just donating a cheque, Na’eem Adam, one of the founders of Le Burger Week describes that "We thought if our festival stimulates businesses and brings people together around a fun concept, that essentially is like teaching someone how to fish rather than giving them a fish."
