This fake floral pavilion was created by OP Architecture Landscape who collaborated with architecture students at City College in New York, The team used over-sized, pastel pink flowers to build the dome-like structure.
The fake floral pavilion is made using 100 flower arrangements which measure two feet by four feet. The use of polyethylene allows the structure to have an elegantly curvaceous shape -- each flower boasts a curved shape without disrupting the other materials. The dome is made of clusters of flowers that connect at the petals while leaving geometric openings in various sections of the pavilion.
One fascinating feature of the 'Plastic Flowers' structure is that it is completely transportable using a "series of custom inner and outer brackets to hold everything together."
