The Terberg Type YT202-EV Electric Truck is Being Tested By BMW

The Terberg Type YT202-EV is a 40-ton electric truck being developed by BMW. The German automotive giant is developing the truck as part of a one-year pilot project, and hopes to use the truck to make deliveries on public roads in the city of Munich from the middle of 2015.

This electric truck is completely quiet, carbon dioxide-free and produces practically zero particle pollution. To be more specific, the Terberg Type YT202-EV will generate 11.8 tons less tons of carbon dioxide a year compared to a regular diesel-guzzling truck.

BMW is currently involved in investing a six-figure amount into this one-year project, which could prove to be a landmark venture in making truck transportation more efficient and sustainable.
