Data-Determined House Plans

Architects Created the Swedish Dream Home Using Big Data from Hemnet

This Swedish dream home was built according to big data. Using numbers from property portal Hemnet, The House of Clicks was built by architects Tham and Videgard. It's supposed to embody a collectively and generally coveted house.

Examining 200 million clicks and 86,000 property listings, the famous Swedish architects determined Sweden's dream home -- the "most statistically sought after property." The gathered data was used to figure out measurable qualities such as the house's size and price, plus the number of floors, bathrooms and other rooms.

They also incorporated two Swedish traditions: the red wooden cottage and the white functionalist box, combining history with modern design. The House of Clicks has a red exterior with a white and gray inside, including an open concept kitchen with double-height ceilings.
