Industrial Door Handles

Big-Game Designs Sleek Doorknobs and Handles

Commissioned by Vervloet, Swiss design studio Big-Game created a set of door handles and knobs.

Titled 'Tools,' after its inspiration, the collection features items such as a pull handle, lever handle and coat pegs. Somehow, the collection translates the tactile quality of tools, such as pencils and wrenches, into a decorative piece for the home. Though the inspiration might not be immediately obvious, it is evident, upon closer inspection, in every piece. For instance, the lever handle and coat peg both feature a rounded convex edge, which, the designers explain, is "a detail we borrowed from pencils. We find this detail very sensual."

The entire collection is fashioned from hand-polished brass, intended to feel comfortable in your grip, as well as reflect light.
