Clementine Crate Cupboards

Use Recycled Produce Boxes for a Creative DIY Wall Shelf

With materials lying around the house, anyone can create a gorgeous DIY wall shelf, even if they have absolutely no furniture construction knowledge.

Using a wooden clementine box, the kind that can be found in many supermarkets, Kaitlyn Parker of KPdesign added a new shelving unit to her wall with an artistic twist. No modifications need to be made to the box, however, before mounting it, giving it a coat of paint will transform it into a work of art that will visually enhance the decor in a room.

Parker used black and white paint to create a graphic pattern that makes her DIY wall shelf work with the rest of the art in her home.
