The 'Tomorrow' Design Exhibit Documents a Life Well-Lived

Artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset have transformed a former textile gallery into an apartment according to the needs and tastes of a fictional occupant. Elmgreen and Dragset’s installation, entitled ‘Tomorrow,’ expresses that architecture, design and home decor reveal important facets of peoples’ lives and personality, and they attempt to engage their audience into a story of this imagined mans’ life through his home and belongings.

As for who this man is, Dragset explains he is "…An elderly architect, 75 years old, a failed architect. He has a lot of great ideas, he was quite visionary but he never got to realize any of his projects. He was a part-time teacher, probably at Cambridge. […] All these things have trickled down through generations and now maybe the old architect living there might be the last person to sit on his family empire."
