Fragmented Icon Installations

Danh Vo Represents the Statue of Liberty with Separate Pieces

Danh Vo is a Vietnamese who has found a fascination with the Statue of Liberty, and as such decided to build a replica of this iconic landmark. However, instead of keeping it intact, the artist fragmented the pieces and has put them on display around the world so that more people can experience his popular structure.

Danh Vo has finished his installation with a coper material, which stands out on the streets where quite a few of the pieces can be found. The artwork is titled 'We the People,' and two of the pieces can currently be found in New York, put on by the Public Art Fund until December of 2014. To see the other pieces, New Yorkers will have to book a few flights!Photo Credits: designboom, publicartfund.org
