Dana Harel is an Israeli-born, San Francisco-based illustrator whose work features strong attention to detail and carries a theme of amalgamating man and environment. Harel holds a degree in architecture from the California College for Arts. Her appreciation for the structure of buildings is evident in her work, which features deftly detailed human hands coming into contact with skulls, eagles and Viking helmets.
Dana Harel has had her work exhibited all over the world, including the Napa Valley Museum of Art, the Frey Norris Gallery in San Francisco, the Palo Alto Art Center, the Drawing Visiting Center in New York and the Herzella museum of Contemporary Art in Israel.
Her work is currently on display at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, California until May 31, 2011.
