Cutting Vedge Replicates Meat-Based Dishes by Using Artichokes

World Finer Foods has announced the launch of Cutting Vedge, a new plant-based meat alternative brand that uses artichoke as its primary ingredient. To start, the brand will deliver a range of frozen, artichoke-based "meat" products, including burgers, meatballs, Italian sliced sausage, and crumbles.

All of the products utilize artichokes from Reese, a vegetable brand also owned by World Finer Foods, and contain a mix of chickpea, quinoa, and spinach. As a result, these meat-free offerings are free from dairy, soy, gluten, and contain no GMOs. According to the company, artichokes are the perfect meat replacement thanks to their hearty texture and impressive nutrition profile. They are an excellent source of antioxidants and other nutrients like vitamin V and B6, iron, and magnesium.
