What Ryan Jongwoo Choi has done with his piece is to meet the basic criteria and to elaborate with a whimsical finish.

You won't know by looking at the finished product, but the Crumpled Chair was created by covering the backrest and the seat with crinkled aluminum foil. Resin was then applied to the wrinkled surface as a matte white coating, making the object look like it was formed from papier-mâché.
