Asbjørn Skou Illuminates Denmark with Copenhagen Light Installations

Visual artist Asbjørn Skou has taken plain walls into Copenhagen light installations .

Skou used this technique in the past, but reinvented his style by returning and creating more complex projections. Skou hand draws each piece and transfers it on slides with a needle. After this process is complete, Skou then sets up projectors and illuminates walls and entire buildings with his visual creations.

Skou's work is meant to explore the angles of perception and the space that the original structure and his work occupies. Skou generally chooses dark spaces in order to take advantage of the illumination and showcase a neighborhood that can benefit from the attention and public art. Visuals include angelic figures, a couple holding hands and cyclists.

Asbjørn Skou's Copenhagen light installations illuminate communities and unify them with art.
