EAT17 in London is Redefining the Familiar Convenience Store Format

With a focus on thinking local, EAT17 in London is a neighborhood grocery that is helping to reshape the convenience store format. The newly designed Smiths Square location boasts a vibrant color palette, a fresh graphic style and engaging in-store areas for eating, drinking and stations for refilling products as a means of reducing packaging waste.

As a whole, the design developed for EAT17 by Fourmation was created to feel "like a vibrant open-air food market." This theme is apparent throughout the space with shipping container-style stalls, overhead greenery that invites elements of the outdoors inside and striped canopies that help to define certain areas of the market. Within the space, three independent food sellers are present, which also adds to the liveliness of the interior.
