London-based designer Conor Hacon unveils a new collection of furniture for Common Design. The new range is inspired by the concept of kinship and collectivity. It is made up of a set of chairs, a coffee table, and a fruit bowl -- it is dubbed Invitations.
Kicking off the collection is the Cruz Canteen chair defined by two panels that leave a unique negative space at the backrest that also applies to the back legs. Following this is the Invitations Coffee Table which is perfectly linear and has hand-shaped edges that tilt towards. It is meant to reflect the idea of being close and speaks to the idea of people leaning in to gather together.
