The Community Hall Abfaltersbach by Machné Architekten is designed to resemble a polygonal boulder. The geometric structure stands out against its mountainous landscape with a heavy volume resembling a precious gem.

Located in southern Austria, the building is home to municipal administration offices, the city's fire department, a music rehearsal venue and an event center. The site, made up of three volumes, is designed to reflect its surrounding topography. Each of these three areas are purposefully situated, even though appearing to be scattered at first glance.

The Community Hall Abfaltersbach features a fibre and cement facade construction showcased in a slew of colors. This exterior application gives the contemporary structure a stone-like texture, mirroring its surrounding geography.
