Illusory Floating Cloud Seats

The 'Cloud Chair' Provides a Fluffy Place to Relax

The 'Cloud Chair' is an ethereal seating solution that highlights a whimsically wondrous aesthetic for design aficionados to appreciate. The chair doesn't feature the usual three or four legs that are traditionally found on seating solutions and instead utilizes a series of metal rods that look almost like rainfall. These pierce through the fluffy polyester fiber to create something of a juxtaposition between the soft materials above and the metallic ones below, while a mirrored base reflect the components for an illusory aesthetic.

The 'Cloud Chair' is the design work of Shota Urasaki and is the winner of the 2020 A' Design Award. The designer was inspired to create the chair upon admiring a moving cloud floating in the distance on the coastline.
