HeyGears Debuts the UltraPrint Production PAF10 Clear

HeyGears has introduced a new clear resin material called UltraPrint Production PAF10 Clear. This innovation is designed for use with the brand's Reflex RS and RS Turbo 3D printer. Simultaneously, HeyGears also released a comprehensive Transparent Solution that provides step-by-step workflows for achieving high-quality transparent printed parts.

HeyGears' clear resin material offers light transmittance of 82%, which will allow printed objects to achieve a crystal-like clarity. Printers using this innovation will still be able to capture fine details down to 0.08 millimeters. The UltraPrint Production PAF10 Clear material also incorporates yellowing resistance to preserve clarity over time and a "46% elongation at break" for optimal flexibility and strength.

The accompanying Transparent Solution guides users through the entire process from design considerations to post-processing techniques — such as sanding, dyeing, and coating.

Trend Themes

  1. High-transparency Additive Materials — Printed parts achieving 82% light transmittance enable crystal-clear prototypes and end-use components that blur the line between molded and additively manufactured optics.
  2. Integrated End-to-end Printing Workflows — Comprehensive Transparent Solution documentation reduces trial-and-error and enables predictable quality across design and post-processing stages.
  3. Durable Flexible Clear Resins — A formulation combining 46% elongation at break with yellowing resistance supports durable, flexible transparent parts for functional applications.

Industry Implications

  1. Consumer Goods and Packaging — Clear, detailed 3D-printed components offer visually premium packaging elements and short-run transparent product housings.
  2. Medical Devices and Prosthetics — Biocompatible-seeming clear parts with fine-detail fidelity could be used for customized prosthetic components and anatomical models requiring clarity.
  3. Optics and Lighting — High light transmittance materials allow additive manufacture of lenses, light guides, and diffusers with integrated complex geometries.
