'The Edge' by Charles Wright is a Home That Fuses Nature and Modernity

Charles Wright and his team of architects created this beautiful spaceship-mimicking home made of concrete. Titled 'The Edge,' this home sits on the glorious beachfront property on Flagstaff Hill overlooking Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas, Australia. The Edge is actually raised above the rooftops of other homes in order to ensure seclusion and privacy.

The idea behind this project was to create a home that fused themes of nature and modern architecture. In order to achieve a rustic yet modern design, Charles Wright actually incorporated indoor and outdoor spaces such as bedrooms. The design brings forth the idea of glamorized camping from within the comfort of one's own home.

The house provides panoramic views through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, an infinity pool and pond as well as open-concept interiors that truly embody a spaceship-like aesthetic.
